It seemed like Lindsay Lohan has been on the path to a healthy successful life. Which makes it all the more surprising that she again finds herself in the middle of controversy. Even if she got off the hook, she still has placed herself in a bad situation.

I am sure you heard about her being accused of theft from the son of the late Suge Knight. Although Lindsay Lohan is off the hook concerning a theft from a Hollywood Hills home, she seemed still upset about the situation four days after the alleged incident. In her defense Lohan took to Twitter. As reported in latimesblogs.latimes.com.

Suspects in the theft include Lohan as well as Gavin Lawrence Doyle and Andrew Nicholas Payan.

Lohan and one of the alleged victims, identified as millionaire Sam Magid, had a "long-standing relationship," and he did not identify any of the suspects.

It seems this story has no real teeth. Although one of the suspects made a vague admission that someone had taken something, none of the suspects was found with any property.

Items that claim to have been stolen include cash, sunglasses and a credit card holder. It sounds like hogwash, yet still how does Lindsay find herself in situations like this?

The incident is the latest in a series of brushes with the law for Lohan, who has been trying to put her much-chronicled legal troubles behind her and resume her acting career.

She was on probation for a 2007 conviction for driving under the influence. Since then, she has also been convicted of shoplifting and was on probation for that offense as well.

I hope that Lohan is able to stay on the right side of the law. After numerous probation violations and a stint in jail, she has adhered to a strict regimen of counseling and community service at the county morgue. I hope she continues to take drug classes, alcohol classes and stop theft classes and counseling
