When you think of shoplifters you tend to think about small items. You normally do not associate a 50-inch television with a shoplifter. A story about a 50-inch TV stolen is usually a home robbery.
That is not the case with this WalMart shoplifter. As reported in www.nj.com.
Two men were charged with stealing a 50-inch television from WalMart after being spotted on the store's surveillance video trying to shoplift an identical television just two weeks earlier. They cut the security wrap off of the box. Thieves are not the sharpest tools in the shed!
Forty-year-old William Mason and25-year-ols Paul Mason walked out of the store with the Vizio TV without paying for it. Store security noted their Toyota Corolla and police easily located the thieves. The TV was clearly visible in the back seat and they were promptly arrested.
In addition to being charged with shoplifting, William Mason also was charged with driving while his license was suspended and failure to produce required documents. He was also wanted for failing to answer criminal trespassing charges in Newark. Really nice guy, right?
Paul Mason was charged with shoplifting and arrested on warrants for failing to answer a shoplifting charge and an obstruction charge in his hometown. He was taken to the county jail with bail set at $6,391. How do they determine that amount of bail?
I hope both of these guys take an online shoplifting class (from http://stoptheftclass.com/ of course!) that encourages them to not shoplift any more.
