Every once in a while you see that dog is really man’s best friend. Depending on what part of the country you are in, it could be a man’s pick-up truck is his best friend. That is not the case for this Colorado man.

Steve Knutson had his pick-up truck stolen. Was he upset? You bet he was. But not because of the truck, but for the contents inside the cab. As reported in www.denverpost.com.

A puppy was reunited with its owners nearly three days after she and the pickup she was inside were stolen from outside her owner's business.

Knutson was overjoyed with the return of his canine, a 5-month-old black Labrador, Cheyenne.

Cheyenne was on the front seat of Knutson's pickup blue 1997 Chevrolet K1500 pickup when it was boosted.

However, when police located the pickup and arrested the suspected truck thief and dog- Cheyenne wasn't inside.

Fortunately, Cheyenne was identified through an implanted microchip. A Good Samaritan was getting gas when a man approached him and gave him the dog, saying he couldn't take care of it. He took the puppy home in Westminster and, after talking to his father, called Westminster Animal Management.

The thief, 41-year-old Mark Cittadino was and charged with aggravated motor vehicle theft, theft and criminal mischief.

At least this story turned out positive. I hope Cittadino takes a good Colorado theft class and stays on the right side of the law for the rest of his God-given days.
