Aaah, reality stars, what are we going to do with them? We can’t live with them, and we can’t kill them, so what is one to do?
While I bash reality television stars with abandon, perhaps the story of Janice Dickinson may be being blown way out of proportion. God knows the hoopla surrounding Forest Whitaker’s alleged shoplifting experience in a Manhattan delicatessen was ridiculous. As reported in radaronline.com.
Dickinson found herself in the middle of a real-life crime scandal when a jewelry designer accused her of stealing $20,000 of gems, but she claims the whole thing was just a huge misunderstanding.
Actually became quite flip about the whole thing which really irks my craw. She said harry Winston would be her choice should she choose to steal. She claims herself as the world’s first super-model.
The confusion occurred when Dickinson participated in a runway show benefit, The Reality of FASHION The Reality of AIDS, in New York City, but after walking the catwalk she allegedly strutted out wearing the loaned sparklers from brand Effy, which infuriated the organizers.
Typical of many stars who think they are bigger than life she claims to have been in a hurry and did not have time to take them off before having to get on with her busy life.
The 57-year-old Dickenson is also a judge on “America’s Top Next Model.” She claims blowing this all out of proportion is a scam by the jewelry company for free publicity. While I agree, I think that she at least should have called someone to organize a safe, quick return of the loaned items.
