Do not let the headline fool you. Despite your personal opinion about Mr. Howard Stern, I am not accusing him of theft in any way, shape or form. The thief is actually a regular re-occurring guest on “The Howard Stern Show.”
Care to guess who it is? As reported in www.examiner.com.
Dominic Barbara, Stern’s celebrity attorney, has found himself on the wrong side of the law once again. The disgraced former celebrity attorney was busted for attempting to shoplift a purse Manhasset, New York.
Barbara was caught by security cameras at the high-end Hirshleifer's boutique in the Miracle Mile shopping district. He also was found with the prescription drug Ambien in his pocket, but could not verify that he had a prescription.
This is a sad story about how far a person can fall. Drugs are to blem.
This is the latest in a string of legal troubles for the former millionaire attorney. In 2012, Barbara was arrested twice, first in September for violating a protective order filed by his ex-wife Leslie and then again in December when Leslie pressed charges against him for harassment, stalking and attempted extortion.
In July 2012, Barbara told the New York Post that he had become a born-again Christian after multiple failed suicide attempts that he blamed on his addiction to Vicodin.
He was suspended from practicing law after being investigated for billing errors and improper supervision.
Barbara has been a regular call-in and in studio guest on the Howard Stern Show since the 1990s, and became a personal friend of Stern. Stern and his future wife Beth Ostrosky first consummated their relationship while staying at Barbara's home.
First and foremost Barbara needs to get to a good drug class and get off all drugs. A celebrity theft class during a lengthy in-patient drug therapy program might be just the ticket.
