The tragic death of the ultra-talented Jenni Rivera last week in a plane crash has devastated many in the Latin music community. Friends, family and fans all suffer together in the loss of a music legend.
Now the ever-corrupt Mexican police is adding to their pain and suffering. As Rivera's family in Los Angeles planned memorial arrangement, the singer's fans have been shocked by allegations that two Mexican police officers stole personal belongings from the crash site where her plane went down. As reported in latimesblogs.latimes.com.
I am a big fan of River’s music. She has an amazing presence and a beautiful voice. I loved her songs; they were about love, her sufferings and good times.
The story is that belongings of Rivera and others on the plane were found in the homes of two police officers who were investigating the crash. Even worse was that one of the officers allegedly took graphic photos of the crash site, including of body parts.
Rivera's plane plummeted nose-first Sunday, 28,000 feet in 30 seconds, leaving its wreckage -- and the remains of Rivera and six others -- splayed across the side of the mountain like a wash of pebbles.
The 43-year-old Rivera was a mother of five and overseer of a growing international business empire. She was killed when the jet crashed near Iturbide, Mexico.
I hope these police officers are prosecuted to the full-extent of the law, especially the one with photographs. They should have to take a stop theft class and lose their jobs too.
