As a counselor for both in-class and online stop theft classes I will be the first to admit that stories involving theft tend to stand out to me. Most recently I have noticed a rash of theft and shoplifting occurrences where parents either involved their kids, or brought their children with them shoplifting.
Would you consider the woman described in the rest of this blog a bad mother? Think about that as you read. As reported in www.cbsnews.com.
Bobbie Pritz, a mother from Stockton, California, is on the run after being accused of stealing from a store and stuffing the stolen goods into a baby stroller while shopping with her three daughters.
As bad as this story started out, it is about to get worse. When confronted by a store security officer, the 44-year-old mother bit him and then ran over another with her van in order to make a quick getaway.
Pritz took her toddler and 16-year-old daughter into JC Penney to steal clothes and perfume. Her 13-year-old daughter was left sitting in the car as she stole the merchandise and hid it in the stroller.
The security guard who was run over reportedly only suffered minor injuries.
Pritz got away with her toddler and 13-year-old daughter in the car, but her 16-year-old was left behind and arrested.
The 16-year-old was arrested. As of now, Pritz and the toddler are still on the run. Yes, I think she is a bad mother!
