Criminals tend to make one poor decision after another. Often something starts pretty mild then snowballs into much bigger problems. When that happens, lives can be ruined.

Amirah Gibson is one of these peoples. The woman from Trenton, New Jersey allowed things to get really out of control. She was completely responsible. After officers approached her for shoplifting, she went crazy. She resisted arrest by tripping an officer and spitting on him when being placed in the back of the squad car.

The 25-year-old Gibson was caught shoplifting at the Foreman Mills store. She had shoplifted from the store the day before and a store employee reportedly witnessed her throwing un-purchased items out of her purse when police arrived on the scene. This according to nj.com.

When approached by police, Gibson began twisting, turning and pulling her body away and causing him to trip and fall over a curb.

Gibson was charged with shoplifting, resisting arrest and aggravated assault. Would you be surprised to learn that there already was a warrant out for her arrest? I didn’t think so.

Would you be surprised that police also arrested Gibson’s boyfriend, Breion Sampson, 21, who got out of control with officers? I didn’t think so. He was charged with hindering apprehension and resisting arrest.

Another couple of real winners that appear headed down the road to perdition. Hopefully, a New Jersey shoplifting class and some counseling will keep them on the right side of the law.
