This week has to be one of the leaders for stories emerging of mothers going on shoplifting sprees with their progeny. What is happening with parents today? First, Mei Yip , a Brooklyn woman was arrested, while with her three children, for attempting to steal $1,099 worth of merchandise from Bloomingdales.

Yip, was seen by Bloomingdales employees picking up 14 items while walking around the store. She then entered a fitting room with the merchandise. Upon leaving the fitting room, she was seen with a full Bloomingdales's bag. Employees said she didn't have the bag when she went into the dressing room. As reported in www.myfoxny.com.

Yip, of course had shoplifted all the items taken into the dressing room.

Yip and her children were stopped as she tried to leave the store passing multiple registers. She and her kids were taken to jail where she and the kids were released after posting bail.

How embarrassing?

Pennsylvania Shoplifting Mom

In an equally disturbing case, A Pennsylvania woman is accused of running away and leaving her baby behind after being accused of shoplifting.

Shanavia Labbay left her child along with a bunch of shoplifted merchandise at the store. at the store with a three month old child in a carriage. She ran from the scene but was later arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and petit larceny. Labbay also faces child abandonment charges.

Shameful parenting. More Pennsylvania shoplifting classes and parenting counseling could help solve this recent rash of poor parenting.
