No one likes to be ripped off. It is a feeling of being completely violated when you are stolen from. One of the places you constantly worry about theft is the water park.

Hot weather brings the crowds to water parks, but what to do with your money, credit cards and cell phone while you are enjoying the slides and wave pool could make all the difference in how you feel at the end of the day.

We all know that it is risky to leave behind unattended cell phones and wallets when enjoying the water slides. So what can we do?

First, it is best not to leave your wallet or other valuable items in the car. This includes placing it in the trunk. A locker is the best option for keeping your valuables safe.

If you must leave something in the trunk, do it well before you get into the parking lot. Believe it or not there are thieves scouring the parking lot waiting for people to hide keys or other items in the car.

It also is dangerous to leave backpacks unattended. Thieves comb through water parks picking up backpacks rifling through the contents and depositing them in another part of the park.
