As a counselor for both in-class and online alcohol classes and theft classes I follow the news about these topics very closely. I almost had to laugh when I read this police blog, all of which came in one week, in one small, New Jersey town. From patch.com.

Wells Fargo Employee Busted For Padding Personal Account With Bank Funds

It is not easy to steal money from a bank. This is true even if you work there and know the ins and outs. A Wells Fargo Bank employee was arrested for allegedly padding his personal bank account with $86,885 over several months. This guy needs a theft class.

Man, 72, Breaks Cop's Nose

Drinking makes people do stupid things. In this story a 72-year-old man made the right decision to call gab when heading home from the bar. In fact, he was turned away because he already was too intoxicated.

That was the end of his good decisions. He then punched a police officer attempting to assist him into a cab. The officer's nose was broken and the man was arrested after a struggle that resulted in a hand injury that was treated at a local hospital.

Car Thief Leads Police on a Chase

A 31-year-old man stole a car, and in a scene right out of the Fox television show “Cops” led cops on a wild chase. The man also faces charges for interfering with the safe flow of traffic. He came close to causing multiple accidents.

Police Warn of Money Wiring Scams

The age-old scam that you get a call with a relative in need of funds hit two New Jersey people. The callers ask family members to wire money to the supposedly distressed parties through Western Union. One family wired $13,000 to a person posing as their cousin overseas before realizing they had been duped. A woman sent approximately $3,000 to a person posing as her grandson. The world needs stop theft classes.

Family Arrested for Forging Oxycodone Prescriptions

A New Jersey family proved it is in need of drug classes after forging Oxycodone prescriptions using a doctor's stolen prescription pad. The prescriptions requesting large amounts of OxyContin.

That this all happened in one location in one week is proof positive in the need for mandatory theft classes, alcohol classes and drug classes.
