I have long espoused the importance of goal setting. One couple I blogged about recently took this to entirely new level.

Their goal – to steal from all 50 states. That is truly shameful. As reported in www.upi.com.

The primary target of their thefts were Toys R Us stores where they absconded with over a million dollars’ worth of stolen goods.

The primary method of theft was box stuffing. Box stuffing is basically finding a big box with an inexpensive item. They remove the cheap item and then fill the box with expensive items like software.

Police were able to track the primary thief, 46-year-old Michael Pollara, because he used his Toys R Us Rewards Card for all of his purchases.

Abetting his crime spree was his 70-year-old mother, Margaret, who kept lookout while her son stuffed the boxes with stolen goods.

In addition to the thefts from Toys R Us, the two terrorized Wal-Mart’s, Targets and CVS stores across the country. The son admits he stole more than $2 million worth of goods.
They used eBay to sell their stolen goods and had over $900,000 in their account when they were apprehended.

I am not sure a theft class is all they need, but it would be a good start. These two greedy, morally bankrupt people need to spend some hard time behind bars to figure out if they want to be assets to society or just pimples on the bottom.
