Let me begin by saying that stealing is wrong in every way. One of the 10 Commandments God handed down to Moses said “Thou Shalt not Steal!” What more verification do you need?

Lately a new breed of shoplifters is taking to stores in neighborhoods all across America. It is called “extreme shoplifting.” Why extreme? Because of the audacity and brazenness of the thieves.

One guy walked into a Wholefoods grocery store with a rolling suitcase behind. He proceeded to empty shelf after shelf of organic meat, stealing more than $1,000 worth of steak and lamb chops. He was caught on tape and later arrested.

Another thief went from store to store stealing Oil of Olay products to the tune of more than $20K! Imagine the audacity!

Toiletries and other sundries are common items these extreme thieves go after. Often they sell these items outside the store or on the street, and CraigsList is another vending locale for sundry thieves.

Another commonly shoplifted item are teeth whitening strips. These go for about $50 and are re-sold on the black market for $25. Early pregnancy tests, Rogaine, expensive razors and razor blades, red Bull and Extra Strength Tylenol are also commonly boosted items.

Shoplifting is no joking matter. It has estimated that $30 billion worth of items are stolen. Who do you think pays for that? The answer, of course, is all of us. Somebody needs an extreme shoplifting class!
