In yet another example of celebrities being just every-day people like you and I (sorry celeb readers) award-winning actress Julianne Moore has been robbed. Unlike you and I, her home was burgled to the tune of $127,000.00.
Before Moore took home that Emmy last month, someone appears to have taken home some prizes of their own from her New York brownstone: $127,000 worth of jewelry which was stolen sometime last summer. As reported in www.latimes.com.
The actress, who starred in “Game Change” had 10 pieces of jewelry, among them bracelets, watches and a necklace while her home was being remodeled. Proof positive once again that you have to be very careful who you allow into your home.
One of the stolen items was a $33,000 tennis bracelet from Cartier.
It may be difficult to identify the exact culprit as more than 25 people were in and out of the house she shares with director husband Bart Freundlich, Moore was primarily in Toronto filming a "Carrie" remake. Moore is also known for her role in “Boogie Nights” with Burt Reynolds and Mark Wahlberg.
The six-bedroom, 1905-vintage brownstone has been listed for sale twice in the last several years most recently for $12.5 million.
Once again, celebrities are like all of us. We must safeguard our valuable or risk having them stolen.
